Chapter 8 - Assistive Technology

Making sure that you place the correct technology in the right hands at the right time under the right circumstances is what it all boils down to. This saying goes for everything - not only education but in life as well. The right book in the right hands at the right time, same goes for what we need in life and what we want to get out of life. There are many different situations, circumstances and issues that play a factor in making sure that individuals with areas of difficulty receive what they need and the training they need to be able to function properly. I have found that to be the case personally over the years, if I am not provided the correct and necessary training for what I have been faced with then I am not able to function at full capacity. How do we expect individuals who are really faced with challenges to function under these circumstances without giving them the necessary tools to cope.
